No sign of Deosaran

A $2 million ransom was reportedly paid yesterday by kidnappers for the safe release of Rodney Deosaran, 28, but up to late yesterday, the victim had not been released. Sources revealed that a relative of Deosaran paid the ransom money to kidnappers at around 9 am yesterday in Central Trinidad. The negotiations were finalised on Tuesday night, after the kidnappers agreed to settle for $2 million for Rodney’s safe release.

The relative went to an undisclosed location in Central where the money was paid. The relative was assured that Rodney would be released. Up to late yesterday, however, the kidnappers failed to call and the victim was not released. Yesterday marked two weeks since Deosaran was kidnapped. Officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad are investigating.
