Miss Universe 2004 to visit TT

Miss Universe 2004, Australia’s Jennifer Hawkins, will be visiting TT to be one of the celebrity guests at the upcoming Miss Trinidad and Tobago Pageant, which will be held on August 22 at Queen’s Hall. The Miss Trinidad and Tobago Pageant, entitled “Trinbago to the World,” will highlight this country’s beauty, music and other aspects. Hawkins will be accompanied by an official travel manager of the Miss Universe Organisation, and will be flying on national airline BWIA. She will be staying at the Crowne Plaza.

Asked about her impending visit, Jennifer responded enthusiastically, “I hear so much about your music and Carnival, I am excited about visiting your country.” The reigning Miss Universe will highlight the AMCO donation of wheelchairs to FEEL, and will also be visiting the Cyril Ross Nursery, with Trinidad’s former Miss Universe, Wendy Fitzwilliam. Hawkins will also be presented to various leaders at an official reception hosted by Australian High Commissioner, John Mitchell. The Miss Trinidad and Tobago Pageant begins with an elegant wine and cheese reception, followed by the pageant and fashion presentation.
