SWRHA to meet with Moonilal

A MANAGEMENT team from the South West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) will meet with Oropouche MP Dr Roodal Moonilal on Tuesday to discuss a range of issues involving the delivery of health care to the public. The authority’s CEO, Michael Harris, informed Moonilal yesterday that SWRHA will meet with him to discuss his concerns. Among the parliamentary representative’s concerns was the hiring practices at the authority. In a terse letter to CEO Harris on Monday, Moonilal complained that elderly persons from his constituency were being deprived of basic drugs at the hospital’s dispensary. Moonilal requested a meeting to discuss, among other things, an allegation that employees of the authority perceived to be supporters of the Opposition United National Congress, (UNC) were being victimised.
