Cops hold maxi bandit

Arouca police held a bandit who created havoc in Barataria and Arima over a three-hour period. According to reports, police received reports of robberies at several business places between Barataria, St Joseph, Arouca and Arima yesterday from about 9 am. Police intercepted a maxi-taxi on the Priority Bus Route near Bon Air Gardens, where they arrested a 25-year-old Arouca man with a toy gun and several stolen items. He was taken to the Arouca Police Station where he was charged for the offence, and will appear before an Arima magistrate Monday.
