How ‘cabal’ originated

Since it is in the media frequently these days, I suppose, by now, most people (especially politicians) would or should know what the term means.

However, what many may not know is how, when and where the term originated. Well, here we go.

During the reign of Charles the II, five members of his Cabinet (Ministers) were labelled a ‘CABAL’.

The five men were Clifford, Arlington, Buckingham, Ashley and Lauderlade.

That’s right — you’ve got it!
