‘Bruce’ will have seven challengers for the top slice of the purse in the 1800 metres race including three-year-old Treasure Each Day, a winner of two races on the trot.

Meanwhile, the the sub-plot on the day, the Santa Rosa Classic overt 1200 metres, will be run off at 4.21 pm. This one should be a thriller with Invictus, Lawbreaker, B’s Passion and Oriental Appeal holding the engagement.

There will be four races for Hi5 betting — the third, fifth, seventh and ninth, with a carry over of over $23,000.

Racing is scheduled to begin at 11.50 am and the final ninth race is set to go to post at 5 pm.

An ARC official indicated that with the final race starting at 5 pm, this will give turfites ample time to get to their homes before the 9 pm curfew time.
