Borel-Brown leads Pan Am team

The reigning Pan Am bronze medallist is TT’s top medal hope and will be hoping to put aside a dissapointing performance at the “Worlds” and end the year with a top performance in Mexico.

CAC triple jump champion Ayanna Alexander will also be in action and in search of her first Pan Am medal.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Callender, a member of the national 4x100m relay team which earned Olympic silver in 2008, will lead the male team.

Callender, fifth at the 2011 National Championships in the 100m, will compete in that event and the 4x100m relay as well.

Former World Junior champion Darrel Brown is scheduled to run in both events. Brown was omitted from the national team for the World Championships this year and will be hoping to show he can still compete at the elite level despite major setbacks through injury.

National record holder Qincy Wilson will be competing in the discus throw and will also be looking to cap off his year with an eye- catching performance.

TT team: MEN - Darrel Brown (100m, 4x100m), Emmanuel Callender (100m, 4x100m), Joel Dillon (4x100m), Jamaal James (800m), Jamol James (100m, 4x100m), Moriba Morrain (200m, 4x100m), Emanuel Mayers (400m hurdles), Keshorn Walcott (javelin) and Quincy Wilson (discus);
