Bernard, Whitfield stopped in NORCECA ‘quarters’

The top ranked TT men’s team of Simon Blake and Daneil Williams rebounded from ending Friday with a 0-2 record in Pool E.

The pair beat Luis Morales and Franklin Flores of El Salvador 21-18, 21-19 in their 13-18th quarter-final followed by a 21-8, 21-12 beating of Jamaicans Shavar Bryan and Rojey Hutchinson in their 13-18th semi-final to set up a clash with Guatemalans Luis Garcia and Erick Garrido for 13th spot today.

In the main draw, the top two ranked teams in Mexico and Canada-A were joined in the semi-finals by Canada-B and USA-B. Among the women, Canada-A and Canada-B are also into the semi- finals along with Mexico and USA-A
