No money for scrubs
First of all, a letter was written and sent to North West Regional Health Authority head office stating our concerns and we are yet to receive an answer, as we have been told that other regions got their uniform allowance, but none was sent for us at Port-of-Spain hospital. I wonder if this was an honest mistake or they deliberately did not send our money. So tell us please where is the money?
If we are not getting any allowance or material for new uniforms, then we should be allowed to wear our own scrubs in the same colour as our uniform and not get hassled from the supervisors or head nurses about it. Since our allowance for uniform seems to have gotten lost somewhere and we have to put out our own money to buy uniforms or scrubs, then no one should make it their business or problem with what scrubs we can afford. The one in charge never seems to know anything that concerns Aids to Nursing and our 2nd year is nearly ending and still no uniform money. So apparently, next year we have to come back in the same washout, discoloured uniforms.
