Sangre Grande murder suspect held

The 27-year-old man was handed over to officers of the Sangre Grande Crime Investigation Department. Statements were taken from the arrested man and the relevant documents sent to Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard for instructions. The man is one of the suspects who is alleged to have shot and killed Earl Campo of Foster Road, Sangre Grande on January 28.

Investigator PC Joseph said the file is expected to be returned today to the CID office, Sangre Grande following which a charge of murder may be laid before the man is taken before a Sangre Grande magistrate. Members of Sangre Grande Task Force who were responsible for the arrest of the suspect included Sgt Peter Transoco, Cpl Nicholas Vialva,
