First Citizens signs with TT Chamber in honour of business’ best

At a contract signing ceremony held at the First Citizens Corporate Centre, 9 Queen’s Park East, Port-of-Spain on October 14, Group CEO - First Citizens, Larry Nath and CEO of the TT Chamber of Industry and Commerce Catherine Kumar, affixed their signatures to the contract to formalise First Citizens’ agreement to be the event’s exclusive platinum sponsor.

Apart from the customary Induction Ceremony, the Chamber has introduced two new categories of awards to this year’s event: Internationally Known...TT Owned which recognises one medium sized member local company which has expanded into other jurisdictions and Emerging Entrepreneur which will recognise one person who is a game changer in their field of business. Nominees for the Emerging Entrepreneur Award are: Dean Ackin - Ultimate Group, Mazuree Colin Ali - Trini Trolley, Jeunanne Alkins - Everything SLIGHT Pepper and Kwesi Hopkinson - Scorch Magazine Limited. Ray Dieffenthaller (Posthumous) and Michael Mansoor will be inducted into the Chamber’s Business Hall of Fame.

Champions of Business will be held on Friday October 17, 2014 at the Regency Ballroom, Hyatt Regency (Trinidad).
