Two-year-old dies suddenly

POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death yesterday of two-year-old Razia Mohammed, of Diamond Road, Princes Town. According to a police report, Mohammed was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital at around 7.30 am.

The report stated that Mohammed was pronounced dead on arrival. Preliminary police investigations revealed that the girl may have suffered an attack of asthma. The report stated that Mohammed had been warded this week at hospital for the illness but was discharged after she recovered. Inspector Errol Ramdath is investigating. An autopsy will be performed tomorrow at the Forensic Sciences Centre.
