$1.2M for Self-Help projects
MORE THAN 2,500 residents living in communities across Trinidad and Tobago will benefit from 22 self-help projects carded for implementation next week. The projects, which are estimated to cost $1.25 million, will be implemented by the National Commission For Self Help Ltd (NCSH) through funding from the Community Develop-ment Fund (CDF). The social and infrastructural projects include construction of roads, refurbishing of homes for the aged, pan theatres and installation of water and electricity. This initiative is in keeping with the NCSH’s commitment to support Govern-ment’s measures to alleviate poverty and achieve developed country status by 2020.
