Cops investigate cops on alleged robbery of bar

Senior police are investigating a report that two constables at the San Fernando Police Station  robbed a bar. The officers were reportedly at work in the Charge Room when they asked for time off from duty. During this time they were alleged to have gone to a nearby bar and robbed a man of cash and marijuana. The officers then returned to work.

The man went to the station to make a report about the incident and saw the officers on duty. A search of the officers’ lockers was ordered, and marijuana found in one of them. The owner of the locker told the senior officer that the marijuana was seized in a raid and he forgot to hand it over as evidence. A report is expected to be submitted to the Commissioner of Police.
