Laventille man escapes shooting

On checking the vehicle he discovered what appeared to be a bullet lodged on the passenger seat of the vehicle. Pompei made a report to the Besson Street Police Station and investigations are continuing. In an unrelated incident at about 7.30 pm on Sunday Stephen Mars, 34, and Sean David Toby were Picton Road, Laventille repairing a car when they observed the driver of another car reversing the vehicle in their direction.

Minutes later the two men heard loud explosions causing them to flee to a nearby house where they hid. When they emerged from the house a short while later they observed the windshield of the car shattered and spent bullets lodged in the vehicle. A report was made to the Besson Street Police Station and investigations are continuing. No arrests have been made in both incidents.
